If Free Fire keeps closing or freezing, first record where it fails: before login, in the lobby, while loading a resource, or during a match. Then try reversible changes one at a time. Reinstalling immediately can remove useful evidence and create an account-access problem alongside the original crash.
Garena's crash guidance includes restarting, checking connectivity, storage and software updates. Some instructions on older support pages are device-specific. Use current menus on your phone; this checklist does not require a factory reset or recovery-mode procedure.
Capture the failure pattern
Write down the device model, operating-system version, game version and exact message. Note whether every attempt fails at the same point. If it happens after a particular action, describe the shortest sequence that reproduces it without exposing other players' private information.
A useful note might say: launch the official client, enter the lobby, open a resource screen, app closes. A crash after twenty minutes is a different pattern from a failure before the title screen. Keep those cases separate.
Restart and retest once
Close the game and restart the device normally. Relaunch without the optional apps you were using alongside it. Repeat the same short action sequence. If it works, restore your ordinary setup gradually to see whether one additional workload brings the problem back.
Do not keep entering ranked games while the app closes unpredictably. Use a lower-pressure test until you can complete the sequence consistently. This also makes the evidence easier to compare.
Check storage and official updates
Inspect available storage in your device settings and the official store's update state. Leave room for resource downloads and installation work rather than counting only the initial app size. Remove only files you recognize and have chosen to delete; do not use an unknown cleaner to remove game folders.
If the issue began immediately after an update, record that timing. A timing correlation is useful for support, but does not by itself identify the cause. Check official notices before repeating large downloads.
Distinguish cache from account data
Clearing cache and clearing app data are different actions. Read the device prompt before confirming either. Before any step that removes game data, make sure you understand how you will sign back in and have protected the account you intend to keep.
If you are unsure which login owns the profile, stop before reinstalling and consult the player ID guide and official account support. A screenshot of a UID alone is not a login method.
Escalate with a concise record
Send the repeatable steps and test results through the official regional support route. Include a brief clip only if it can be captured without private notifications or payment details. For a failure that happens as the phone warms, use the session heat checklist; for delayed actions without an app closure, use the network checklist.
